Payment of Meals

The cost of a school meal for pupils in Year 3 - Year 6, and not in receipt of a free school meal, is £2.40 per day.  This is £12.00 per full week.  From September 2019, meals will be charged at £2.55 a day (£12.75 a week). Caterlink, who provide our school meals, will be charging the school an extra 15p per meal and due to tight budgets, we have to therefore charge parents for the meals.  Caterlink will rightfully pay their staff the National UK Living Wage, which I think you will agree is the right thing to do for their staff.

Meals MUST be paid in advance.  The option of school meals will be withdrawn from your child and you will have to provide a packed lunch, if you are unable to pay for school dinners.

If you switch from school meals to packed lunch, you MUST inform the office in writing and keep your confirmation slip as proof.  If the school is not informed, you will be charged for the meals ordered on behalf of our child.  See below for the form.

If you have any concerns regarding payment, please contact Mrs Atkins as soon as possible and we will do our best to come up with a solution i.e. payment plan.

St. Luke’s is a cashless school.  This means that all school meals, trips etc will need to be paid for by SIMSAgora (on-line payment), at the Post Office or by Paypoint.   Clubs must be paid for by SIMSAgora as it is on an allocation basis.

SIMS Agora – On-line account

  • Create a Hotmail or Microsoft email account (if you have not already got one)
  • Create an account on SIMS Agora (details below)
  • Combine your children’s accounts into one (if necessary)

As well as paying for your child’s school meals, club or trip on-line, you will be able to see your child’s account.  We would recommend that parents set up an on-line account even if payment will be paid via Paypoint or the Post Office.
