Southwark Diocesan Board of Education Multi-Academy Trust (SDBE MAT)

The Governing Body of St. Luke’s , West Norwood, is considering becoming an academy within the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education Multi-Academy Trust (SDBE MAT).

Whilst agreeing to the proposals in principal the final decision on whether or not to seek academy status and enter the SDBE MAT will be taken by our Governing Body based on what is considered best for our school, children, staff and wider community. As part of the decision-making process, the Governing Body is committed to undertaking full consultation with our stakeholders and will take their views into account before any final decision is made. The purpose of this statement therefore, is to introduce the proposals to you, and signpost you to additional information and explain how you can take part in the consultation process.

This briefing aims to detail as much information as possible in order to provide a better understanding of the process. A consultation period will run from 19.4.17 to 11.5.17 to share information and seek the views of our community. The views of the Local Authority have also been sought. This is a genuine consultation; no decision has yet been made by Governors, who will act in the best interests of the future of the school and its students.
