Our Vision and Values at St Luke's

Federation's Vision

The vision is the ultimate aim for our schools and our children.  We want to ensure that each and every child fulfils this vision.

At St Luke's, we work hard to enrich and develop the religious character of the School in accordance with the principles of the trustees, the Church of England and in partnership with St Luke's Church at parish and diocesan level

 Our Christian vision is…

Our school’s Christian Vision is that each child is a unique gift from God. We nurture the Christian faith and ethos of the Church of England to enable all community members to develop spiritually, socially, intellectually and emotionally, linking with the Church of England’s core desire for educating the whole person enabling - life in all its fullness. (John 10:10)

“Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God” (James 1:17)

The school’s vision is based upon a clearly articulated theological rationale: All children are loved by God, are individually unique and that the school has a mission to help each pupil to achieve their full potential. (Valuing all God’s children)

Values

Our values support our learners to be:

  • generous and compassionate
  • self-motivated, determined and resilient
  • respectful, responsible and enjoy learning
  • positive, hopeful, aspirational and reflective
  • confident, independent learners who excel in what they do
  • creative, curious and critical thinkers
  • collaborators, problem solvers, innovators
  •  healthy, happy, sociable individuals

We provide a positive, stimulating and caring learning environment where every individual is valued and respected as part of our school community. We offer learners a dedicated team of staff who are committed to developing the knowledge, skills, attitudes and understanding which will enable our learners to enjoy learning, achieve success and to fulfilled and to flourish. We ensure that our learners learn about, and have confidence in, themselves as learners so that every child makes good progress.

As an inclusive, caring school where every child matters, we recognise that all children have talents and abilities to celebrate, and a part of our role is to help them discover and develop these. We encourage a strong community spirit, where we show consideration and respect for each other; understand differences, and uphold kind, well-mannered behaviour.

School Values

Please share the values with your family and friends.  We would like everyone in our local community to know what we believe in and what makes our schools special.  Please pray for  the development of the Federation and all the children and adults who make the Federation and the individual schools such special places.

May God bless us all as we live and learn together.
