Welcome to St. Luke's School

Welcome to our school website - I hope that it will give you a glimpse of what St. Luke’s Primary School is about.

We offer excellent pastoral care to our children, and our creative curriculum coupled with our strong sense of community ensures that we are a happy, forward-thinking and successful school. Our parents/ carers are committed and from the very start of your child’s learning journey at St. Luke’s, we work together to shape their progress.

Our mission statement says that “Christian values and high expectations are at the heart of all aspects of our school life”. Staff strive to deliver stimulating, fun, engaging and challenging daily learning experiences for our children through the National and International Primary Curriculum. Our pupils thrive here and we aim to inspire them to become independent, resilient, lifelong learners, whilst working together in partnership with parents, carers, the Church and the wider community.

We are very proud of our recent achievements at St. Luke’s. We have a dedicated and strong team of staff, working closely with parents and governors, ensuring excellent teaching and learning, enabling our learners to achieve great outcomes. As a result, the school has recently been awarded the Educational Outcomes Award for exceptional student progress in recognition of enabling pupils to make progress in Reading, Writing and Maths, which is significantly higher than the national average at KS2 and is among the top 10% across all schools nationally.

St Luke's works in partnership with Christ Church Streatham and St John's Angell Town, enabling staff and learners to reach their full potential, share ideas, resources and best practice.

The school holds the Inclusion Quality Mark and is a Centre of Excellence, Gold RE Quality Mark, Rights Respecting Schools: Silver Rights Aware, Healthy Schools.  We are currently working towards the Silver Equalities Award.
